The Geocities
Ghoztcraft was created on August 8th 2005 by XGhozt. The domain was not actually registered until 2005-11-08. And originally started on Geocities. After 3 months of flooding, harassment and loads of traffic, XGhozt received a free domain from a friend; tag-clan.com.
Tag-Clan.com
This was the bigging of the real Ghoztcraft. When this domain was first put into use at Ghoztcraft it was integrated into the Geocities pages. This was the first place that Gc had a Forum. The Forums where powered by phpbb, and soon later the entire site had moved to phpbb. This website was hacked 2 times, and attacked over 50 times. Someone hacked the forums, deleted the database and all the downloads. Ghoztcraft was forced to start over from scratch.
MasterX Joins
MasterX Hosted Ghoztcraft for a while at the Eternal Network. During this time MasterX forced XGhozt to use IPB as the forums software and also provided him with IPB. Ghoztcraft.net was first hosted with MasterX.
Going Solo again
XGhozt got a shared hosting plan of his own on the same server as MasterX, attacked against this server caused lots of down time for both sites. XGhozt was moved to a newer more powerful server that was still unable to handle the DOS load that XGhozt was recieving.
Dedicated
XGhozt unable to stop the attacks on shared hosting looking into getting his own dedicated server.
The Fresh Start
All the downloads had to be re-added, all the members had to register again. This time backups where being made and things where going much smoother.
